It is that time of year once again. The North Olmsted Police and North Ridgeville Police Departments “Battle of the Gridiron “ 5th annual flag football game. This year’s game will be held at the North Olmsted High School, located at 5755 Burns Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio, 44070. The game will be on Saturday, September 11, 2010, at 6:30P.M. As a result of last year’s game, due to many generous sponsors, the members of the Police Department raised $7,816.61 for the Lorain Chapter of Special Olympics of Ohio. The previous 4 years of fundraising have raised over $35,000 and we’re hoping that this year’s fund raising efforts will be just as successful.

If uninterested in a field sponsorship, door prizes are always welcome. During the event, raffling of door prizes will be held. The proceeds from the raffle as well as sponsorships all benefit the Special Olympics of Ohio. Special Olympics of Ohio is a 501 ( c ) 3 organization, therefore, any donation will be tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to Special Olympics of Ohio.
As a result of the fund raising efforts, the proceeds enable the Special Olympics administration to continue to contribute to the physical, social and psychological development of the athletes. The Special Olympic athletes on the above-captioned date will be recognized and participate during the festivities. On behalf of the members of both the North Olmsted Police and North Ridgeville Police Departments and the members of the Special Olympics of Ohio, we thank you for your participation last year and look forward to another great year.
